Since 1988, the Foundation has been raising funds to provide the best health care at Delta Hospital. Funds raised help to ensure state-of-the-art equipment, facilities and programs for over 100,000 residents of Delta.
Through fundraising events and opportunities, the board, staff and volunteers of the Foundation unite with the community to ensure that the needs of staff, patients and families are met at Delta Hospital. The Foundation's fundraising activities include our Moonlight Gala, Delta Health Golf Classic, Walk for Health as well as charitable gift planning and major gift planning. Together, we can ensure that Delta Hospital is ready when you and your loved ones need it most.
The Delta Hospital Foundation is governed by a volunteer board of directors representing the many faces of this community. From accountants and lawyers to business owners and managers, the Board is serious about upholding the mission and mandate of the Foundation. Over the years, the Foundation has not only funded the most modern equipment for our operating room but has also taken to heart the care and comfort of the 92 residents of our extended care unit, Mountain View Manor.
Celebrating Successes
CT Scanner - Our fundraising campaign for the $1.7 million scanner is complete. The scanner was operational in April 2009 and working to save lives. Thank you to eveyone for your support!
In 2006, the doors opened on an expanded and renovated Emergency Department for Delta Hospital. This $6.2M project was funded by generous donations from businesses, organizations and individuals as well as $1.5M from the Ministry of Health.
Spiritual Care Room - A much-needed addition to Delta Hospital, this room provides a quiet sanctuary for patients, staff, visitors and families. This non-denominational respite area is now complete
A relocated Surgical Daycare Unit has provided a more efficient and comfortable pre and post-operative experience for both patients and medical staff.
The addition of a Pediatric Resuscitation Cart has been a welcome addition to the Emergency Department, as well as a new Infant Resuscitaire.
