It's about time. A CT Scanner at Delta Hospital will save time, and lives.
Previously, patients in need of a CT scan were transferred by ambulance to Peace Arch hospital. This was not only an inconvenience to the patient, but also took precious extra time to get a diagnosis, as well as took away valuable nursing resources from the hospital. Not only will the new 64-slice state-of-the-art CT scanner save time and money; it also greatly enhances the quality of health care now available at Delta Hospital.
The new CT scanner facility is officially open!
On June 23, both Delta Hospital Foundation and hospital staff took part in a quiet celebration, with everyone taking a few moments out of their busy day to tour the CT facility, chat and reflect on the community’s stellar efforts to bring a scanner to the hospital. Raising the $1.7 million needed was not an easy task and the Foundation and hospital staff extended their deep gratitude to the generous community of Delta for the support received during the CT scanner fundraising campaign.
