Forest For Our Future symbolizes life, both present and past, and will provide not only memories, but significant environmental benefits to our community. When complete, this urban forest on Delta Hospital grounds will be an area of tranquility and relaxation for the entire community to enjoy.
This 'green' environmental initiative is part of our commitment to help fund future projects at Delta Hospital as we continue to grow and expand. The forest will be funded entirely by a one-time generous Estate Gift. In this spirit, the forest will then serve as an area of recognition for future Estate Gifts which in turn help fund hospital projects.

The first Maple is planted on Delta Hospital grounds. Forest For Our Future will be located in the SW corner at Harvest Drive and Mountain View.

Estate Gifts to Delta Hospital will be recognized on beautiful signage that will enhance this wonderful new addition to our grounds. Perpetuating the memories of our donors, these gifts will leave a Lasting Legacy not only in the stability of our hospital but in the beauty of their surroundings.
For donors that choose to support Delta Hospital through a bequest in their Will, immediate recognition of their gift will be placed within the forest as a symbol of their generosity. As it develops, the forest will become a time capsule of stories, memories and spirit.
Why an Urban Forest?
Forests are one of Mother Nature’s best laid plans. Trees symbolize strength, peace and sustainability and the Delta Hospital Foundation recognizes the positive impact that trees bring to a community. Forest For Our Future exemplifies the symbiotic relationship between a healthy environment and healthy people.
Simply put, trees are indicators of a community's ecological health. While urban ecology is more complex than just tree cover, trees are good indicators of the health of an urban ecosystem because of the biological functions of the roots and leaves.
The Foundation is excited about this project because of the immediate and lasting benefits it will produce for the hospital and the people of Delta. Ultimately, we want the forest to symbolize Delta - a community of strength, peace and sustainability; a community that truly cares.
