On January 30, Dayne Nielsen and Reid Janssen celebrated their 4th birthdays together at Delta Gymnastics with 13 of their closest friends. But instead of asking for the usual presents, they asked everyone to make a donation to the Delta Hospital Foundation.
When the party was over, they were really happy to have raised $335. Both Dayne and Reid said they had lots of 'guys' and 'toys' to play with already, so they wanted to help raise money for the hospital.
Reid had participated in the foundation’s 2009 Walk for Health event and had a great time raising $255 in pledges for his 2 km walk. The 2010 event will take place on May 2. Free registration is now open at www.deltahospital.com or call 604-940-95695. |
